“INSPIRED BY A CHANGING CLOUD, THE BUILDING FORM WAS COMPOSED OF FLEXIBLE MODULAR OFFICE SPACES. IT REFERS TO THE DIGITAL CLOUD, AND TO THE METAPHOR OF THE EVERCHANGING CLOUD. THE UNDULATING ENVELOPE CREATES NEW OPPORTUNITIES FOR OUTDOOR SPACE ACCESS ON DIFFERENT LEVELS AND A UNIQUE BUILDING INTERFACE WITH THE CITY.”
The cloud is situated at the heart of Xuhui District of Shanghai, eastern of P. R. China. The total site area is 14,457.5 SM. Surrounded by art center, commercial plaza, office, and a river park, it aims to showcase a unique building that encourages imagination and innovation in the contemporary office setting.
Together with the adjacent building on the T parcel, the Cloud expands and contracts outward to create uniqueness, yet a dialogue with its neighbor.
